One of the biggest disaster humankind causes, CLIMATE CHANGING…
Impassive behaviours of humankind drive our generation into a process which will return thousands of years at least. The size of the danger rises daily and nearly turns into an apocalypse scenario. Sure the leading characters of this scenario are conservatory gases and us, mankind.
Conservatory gases have increased only before Ice Ages, till the process of industrial revolution. After industrial revolution, carbon dioxide ( ) has increased 31% and methane ( ) 151%. Also there is damp. If it is considered that damp is appears after all biological reactions, it can be mentioned about many amount of creations which aren’t chained. The rises of the amount of conservatory gases and as a result of that, rises of temperature will continue till the next ice age. At this time human sourced conservatory gases speed up its process more than it is thought.
As a result of increasing conservatory gas emission so quickly, scientists anticipate lots of things. These are some of them;
- As a result of changing the balance of acid-base in sees, decreasing variations of creatures which live in.
- Melting of ice fields
- Rising of the sees and underwatering the coast cities
- Changing and disappearing habitat of alives, as a result decreasing creature variations
- Heating water of oceans and causing big storms
- While being drought in a region, raining much in another region
- As a result of climate changing, showing up new insect types.
- Occurring of big migrations and war possibility because of drought
The main reason of climate changing is, has been using derivative of oilbear as fuel in transportation and power plants. Today lots of countries have started taking precautions in this case. So as a first process, they have started using renewable energy sources like wind, solar, hydrogen, bio diesel etc… All of these sources are environmentally friendly, don’t cause conservatory gas emission. These sources provide countries with getting energy by using their own sources. By the side of being clean energy sources, renewable energy systems are established in various field conditions. Some examples of usage fields are;
- Housing places which is away from main grid.
- Television and radio signal transmitter stations
- Act of God and emergency lighting
- Cathodic protection
- Fire observation towers
- Lighthouses
- Telecommunication receiver-transmitter systems
- GSM base stations
- Power supply of site measurement devices
- Marine and see applications
- Street, garden, open air ad boards, bus station and highway lighting
- Economical illumination applications
- Sprinkler systems
- Sensitive, critical device and systems
- Alarm and security systems
- Traffic warning and signalling applications
- Caravans
- Mobile, medical etc. devices
Because of these reasons, all countries should give up using oilbear derivative fuels which cause conservatory gas emission and tend renewable energy sources. As developed countries have been doing, our country should enter into this kind of idea, too. Alternative investments should be supported. Thus the first and the most important step is being signed of KYOTO PROTOCOL by Turkey. After signing KYOTO, I am sure that usage of environmentelly friendly renewable sources and encouragement of electricity production will increase.
In fact this must be on personal base, which starts as a social responsibility, over country base. At first we should interrogate ourselves. Can’t we make any sacrifice of ourselves for environment, for earth and for our future? Can’t we reduce our consumption of water, electricity and something like them? Or can’t we prefer buses or minibuses? It must not be forgotten that our behaviours will affect all the mankind, not only ourselves.
We wish that before it is too late, necessary precautions should be taken to save our “paradise” world we live in.
People’s behaviours without environment consciousness cause that, next generations can’t live on “good” days as we live on. |
